Angelos
Angelos (formerly known as DJ Angelo) is a Greek-born DJ, producer, and co-founder of the influential Global Fantasy collective. His journey into music began remarkably early—at just five years old—at his uncle’s discotheque, where he was first captivated by the energy of dance music and the art of DJing.
By his teenage years, Angelos was obsessively honing his craft, using money from a bartending job to buy records and practice relentlessly. Within 18 months, he had transitioned into a full-time professional DJ. His debut came in 2009 at the legendary Mamacas club in Athens, where he held a pivotal four-year residency that launched his enduring career in music.
Inspired by artists such as Black Coffee, Culoe De Song, Manoo, and Atjazz, Angelos developed a sound rooted in soul-stirring Afro house and deep house, which continues to define his immersive and emotionally charged DJ sets today.
In 2005, Angelos joined forces with his brother and manager Gio to establish Global Fantasy, a visionary platform aimed at bringing international talent to Greece. Their partnership with Black Coffee began in 2009, marking one of the first international bookings for the now-superstar DJ. The bond between the brothers and Black Coffee has since become legendary, with Angelos helping to build Black Coffee’s European fanbase through annual Greek tours for a decade.
Today, Global Fantasy stands as one of Europe’s most respected touring brands. As co-founder and resident artist, Angelos has hosted and played alongside many of the genre’s elite—including Djeff, Zepherin Saint, Franck Roger, Rocco, Boddhi Satva, Osunlade, and Jose Marquez.
Venturing into production in 2011, Angelos debuted with “Let the Music Play” in 2013. His discography has since expanded with acclaimed releases on labels like Tribe Records, Nulu, King Street, and Connected Frontline—home of his 2018 standout EP Black Sheep, supported by heavyweights including Dixon, Black Coffee, and Danny Tenaglia.
His 2017–2018 period was a career-defining era, with appearances at Hï Ibiza alongside Black Coffee, as well as sets at Scorpios Mykonos, VOID, and shows spanning Ibiza, New York, London, Miami, Berlin, Bucharest, Dubai, and beyond. He’s graced premier events such as WMC, ADE, and showcases for Keinemusik, Watergate Berlin, and Cavo Paradiso.
In 2019, Angelos debuted in Tulum and performed extensively in major global cities, while releasing music on Saved Records, Rise Berlin, and Armada Deep.
After the global pause of 2020, Angelos returned reinvigorated. 2021 saw the release of “Lost”—a collaboration with Black Coffee and vocalist Jinadu—featured as the opening track on Black Coffee’s Grammy-winning album Subconsciously. The track’s poignant music video, directed by Parisian filmmaker Laura Marciano, captured the emotional weight of life in lockdown with stirring visuals and narrative.
As Angelos continues to evolve, he remains one of Afro and Deep House’s most passionate ambassadors. With upcoming releases on Saved, Connected, and more, he’s poised to dominate dance floors worldwide once again.
From Athens to Ibiza, Tulum to Berlin—Angelos is a name synonymous with emotion, rhythm, and unforgettable musical journeys.
